Pinagdanlayan Multipurpose Cooperative ("PMPC", "we", "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal data you share with us, in compliance with Republic Act No. 10173 (Data Privacy Act of 2012) and its implementing rules and regulations.

Information We Collect

We collect personal information necessary to provide cooperative services:

  • Personal details: Name, date of birth, gender, civil status, address
  • Contact information: Mobile number, email address
  • Government IDs: TIN, SSS/GSIS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG (for membership verification only)
  • Financial information: Income, employment details, loan history within the cooperative

How We Use Your Information

Your personal information is used to:

  1. Process and maintain your cooperative membership
  2. Evaluate and process loan applications
  3. Manage your savings and share capital accounts
  4. Communicate announcements, notices, and account updates
  5. Comply with regulatory requirements (CDA, BSP, NPC)

Data Protection Measures

  • Government IDs are stored with field-level encryption
  • All data is transmitted over encrypted connections (TLS)
  • Access is restricted to authorized personnel on a need-to-know basis
  • Database backups are encrypted at rest

Your Rights Under the Data Privacy Act

As a data subject, you have the right to:

  • Access your personal data held by PMPC
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete information
  • Object to processing that is not necessary for the stated purpose
  • Erasure of data that is no longer necessary (subject to legal retention requirements)
  • Lodge a complaint with the National Privacy Commission

Data Retention

We retain your personal information for the duration of your membership and for a period of 5 years after account closure, as required by cooperative regulations and the Anti-Money Laundering Act.
